The Meadows Community Recreation Centre Public Information Session
The Roads Design and Construction Branch of the Capital Construction Department will be taking part in a Public Information Session for the Meadows Community Recreation Center to present the proposed plans for the 17 Street and 23 Avenue roadway upgrades, as part of the development.

CHAIR-LEADERS- May 14th 2010
On Friday, May 14th 2010 I participated in the 1st annual CHAIR-LEADERS "Enabling Access" Event. This means that I spent the day in a wheelchair, experiencing every aspect of my day as someone in a wheelchair would. This was a fundraiser to support the Canadian Paraplegic Association (Alberta). This campaign aimed to raise awareness of issues surrounding mobility, independence, and self-reliance within the city of Edmonton.

1st year update for Edmonton’s 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness.
I had the pleasure to attend the 1st year update for Edmonton’s 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness. The 10 year plan, endorsed by City Council in 2009 established the Edmonton Homeless Commission to champion the elimationation of homelessness in Edmonton. Since that time there have been significant advances and in some cases year 1 targets were exceeded.
